ArcelorMittal Poland is a part of the ArcelorMittal Group, which is the world’s largest steel producer employing 320,000 people in more than 60 countries.
The company holds 70% of the Polish steel industry's production capacity, including four steel plants in Silesia and Małopolska, in Dąbrowa Górnicza, Kraków, Sosnowiec and Świętochłowice, which collectively employ 10,500 people. The company also owns many other significant plants connected with the steel industry, such as the Zdzieszowice Coke Plant - the largest industrial unit producing metallurgical coke in Europe.
ArcelorMittal’s investments in Poland to date total 3 billion PLN with plans to invest a further 1.2 billion PLN by the end of 2009.
